Good freaking lord, almost a year has gone by without an update, but we are back with a quick little tidbit to keep you interested. Check out the following trailer for the upcoming Toobs vid by Orcutt's very own Kellen Keene

Killer typed me up a press release for this bad boy but I already lost it, so I'll just make up some shit as I go... the DVD will contain the Toobs classics "Bent" and "Boredom" (previously available only on VHS) as well a new vid entitled "Opening the Doors" edited by Mr. Keene himself. "OTD" will contain some ridiculous shit from this year's North Shore season, footy from various Toobs riders, and some local Central Coast action. Toobs has always been supportive of the local 805 talent so show them support in return by picking up the DVD when it comes out.

B.G.A. has put a hold on his budding fashion career and jetted out to Chopes with a savage Vortex crew including fellow Pismo-ites James Murdock and Brian Peterson, JerseyMobb's Mike Murphy, and infamous Oz-holes Brett "Lambswool" Lillyman and Simon "Anthony Savoji" Thorton. The crew should be back any day now so expect a full report soon, supposedly they lucked into two separate swells and Adam was claiming the best scraps of his life.

Murdock also put some time in on the North Shore this year, scoring a few bombs at Backdoor while crashing with legendary charger Brian Wise. Mark Miller has been slaying it with his LORE Design Studio, busting out the new No Friends site and rumored to be taking on another big time boogie project soon involving one of the sport's biggest legends. Nick "College Kid" Statom has had a rough couple weeks out of the water, but in the water he's been surfing solid as always. Whether he's threading "Big Wednesday" Blacks tubes or scrapping his way to first place at 1-foot Ponto in the college boogie division of the NSSA, the guy is always on point. Meanwhile, Hellmore's been cruising around with upcoming behemoth DKer Jeff Chaney, carving and pulling in backside at mysto righthanders up the coast.

Chris Burkard not only made the cover of this month's Mormon Fitness, he's been busy on the other side of the lens as well. Clicking away like a man possessed, he's been scoring some insane shots of boogies and standups all over the Central Coast and frustrating many with his daily claims of "Avila's firing, get down here now! Ughghghghh." His shots seriously looks insane though, be sure to check out the upcoming A-Frame for more of his work. When not hanging out with filth, young Zach Nicholas has also been hard at work at PFC paying off his video cam and new G5 in preparation for "Rookies 2".

Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming BIA contest in Piss-hole next month. Hopefully the waves cooperate, otherwise it'll be prime season for a little Bake-o watching in the lot. Get'er done.

I'll post more later, but check here for photos of the premiere and here for some video footy of Roldy winning the BIA in Imperial Beeeatch.

Good freaking lord we are back, transmitting live from Burky's dirty anus. This Thursday the 19th is the premiere of No Friends XIV, Roadhead, filmed by that disgusting convict Michael Crawley and edited by Atascahellhole's own Brian Stokes. The Fair Oaks Theater will once again play host to the madness that is sure to come. At this point I don't think people are even interested in the actual vids, everybody just wants to get retarded at the premiere and after-party. This year NF elimidated all but the Pismo and Rosarito showings, so things might get a bit hectic with some bigger-than-usual crowds. 805bbr and A-Frame will hopefully have some photos of the festivities....

Speaking of A-Frame, I never really made an official announcement on this site, so if you haven't yet be sure to check out the first issue here. The 2nd issue is due out in early July and should be pretty solid.

There's going to be a buttload of framies here shortly. Sorry for the lack of updates as of late, but things should improve in the next few weeks with a couple features in the works. This past winter was super solid as far as surf goes in the 805, from Ventura rivermouths and wedges to SLO county beachies and reefs, pretty much all the better boogie spots had their moment in the sun. Chris Burkard and Zach Nicholas were on it all winter, shooting photos and video of the local boys. Burky's shots can be seen in A-Frame and Zach's little underground video is insane. If you get a chance definitely check it out, great old school rock soundtrack and some of the best local surfing I've seen. Murdy and Roldy have been owning as usual, as well as the red-toothed scribe Darren Delmore and spine-tester Nick Statom. Be on the lookout for Delmore's columns in A-Frame as well as a rumored online wine journal.

All the Pismo kids are trying to organize trips this summer, but as usual everyone is being flakey and last minute. Most likely there will be an excursion south of the border into some disgusting Mexican slum overlooking some gaping barrels, but really who the hell knows where everyone will end up.

The boogie crew is slowly growing in Pismo, mostly due to the largish group of groms at the Pier these days. Not-so-lil' Adam Terpening has been the bright spot among the local kids, killing it with a super smooth style that's far beyond his years (the kid is still only freaking 16). Cal Poly has also attracted a few transplant boogies such as ughhhh Danny Bridge, Matty Meyer, and next year's fab freshman Brett Mori.

A few cool links to clickity-clack: my French friends Paxcou and Theo both have sick sites detailing their worldwide adventures (especially to Indo, the frogs seem to love it there), 5-South is the best American boogie site on the web these days, Toobs recently updated their site, and Vortex has some new clothing designs.
